소년과 그의 개에 관한 이야기, 또는 개와 그의 소년에 관한 이야기일수도 있네요.
개는 소년의 말을 잘 듣습니다. 앉아. 기다려. 빵야. 일어서. 악수. 인사. 가져와. 점프... 소년이 시키는대로 뭐든지 척척하네요. 심지어 저글링도 하고, 요리도 하고, 서빙도 하고, 식탁에 앉아서 소년과 같이 밥도 먹습니다.
소년과 개는 모험을 떠납니다. 부숴진 배를 고쳐서 바다로 항해도 하고, 무인도에서 로켓을 만들어서 우주로 날아가기도 합니다. 그리고 별에 도착해서 외계인과 기념사진도 찍습니다.
집에 돌아와서는 씻고, 양치질하고, 옷을 갈아입은 후, 침대에서 개는 소년에게 책을 읽어주고 노래도 불러줍니다. 소년이 침대에 눕자 개는 방을 나가려고 합니다. 소년은 같이 자자고 하네요. 소년과 개는 함께 침대에 누워서 Good Boy라고 말해 줍니다. 그런데 Good Boy라는 말은 소년이 개에게 해준 말일까요, 아니면 개가 소년에게 해준 말일까요?
