나에게는 가장 좋아하는 드레스가 한벌 있습니다. 일주일 중에서 내가 가장 좋아하는 화요일에 나는 항상 이 드레스를 입었습니다.

그러던 어느 수요일에 소매가 너무 꽉 끼는 듯 하더니 그만 튿어지고 말았습니다. 이번에도 엄마는 셔츠에서 소매를 뜯어내고, 민소매 탱크 탑으로 새로 만들어 줬습니다.
개학을 하게 되자, 학교에서는 내가 매주 목요일마다 입던 민소매옷을 입고올 수 없다고 하네요. 엄마는 탱크 탑을 다시 수선해서 이번에는 스커트로 만들었어요.
겨울이 되자, 사람들이 스커트는 안입고 바지를 입기 시작하네요. 엄마는 내가 매주 금요일에 입던 스커트를 가위로 자르고, 재봉질을 하더니, 끝에 장식술이 달린 예쁜 목도리로 만들었습니다. 나는 이 스카프를 눈이 내리는 토요일마다 입었습니다.
그런데 긴 목도리가 문에 걸리는 바람에 중간이 끊어져 버렸네요. 엄마는 이 목도리를 분해해서 양말을 만들었습니다.
드레스에서 셔츠 - 탱크 탑 - 스커트 - 스카프 - 양말로 점점 크기가 작아지며 계속 새롭게 변신했던 "내가 가장 좋아했던 드레스"의 마지막 최종 운명은 무엇이 될까요?
