남자 아이 테디는 많은 장난감이 있습니다만, 그 중에서 가장 좋아하는 장난감은 브렌다라는 여자인형입니다. 브렌다와 함께 티파티도 하고, 다른 인형들과 결투 놀이도 하고, 여러가지 의상을 갈아입히는 놀이를 해도 재미있었습니다.

어느날 브렌다를 갖고 전투놀이를 하다가, 브렌다의 다리 하나가 부러지는 일이 벌어졌습니다. 테디는 부러진 다리를 고치기 위해 껌으로 붙여보기도 하고, 실로 묶어보기도 하고, 테이프로 감아보기도 했습니다만, 다리는 다시 붙지 않았습니다. 학교에 가야했던 테디는 브렌다를 실과 반창고와 테이프로 꽁꽁 싸매놓았습니다.

그런데 테디가 학교에 가고 없는 사이에 엄마가 방을 청소하다가 브렌다를 쓰레기인 줄 알고 쓰레기통에 버렸습니다. 브렌다는 이제 쓰레기차에 실려가 버리고, 학교에서 돌아 온 테디는 브렌다가 사라진 것을 알고는 엄마에게 도움을 요청했습니다. 그제서야 자신이 큰 실수를 한 것을 알게 된 엄마는 초능력을 발휘해서 쓰레기차를 뒤쫓아 가고...

엄마는 테디가 가장 사랑하는 브렌다를 무사히 찾아올 수 있을까요?
