A부터 Z까지의 알파벳을 배울 수 있는 책입니다. 하나의 알파벳마다 다른 벌레를 등장시키는데요. A~Z까지 스펠링이 써있는 알파벳 벌레(A), 거품 벌레(B), 선인장 벌레(C), 도너츠 벌레(D), 달걀 벌레(E), 냄새좋은 꽃 벌레(F) 등 각 알파벳마다 해당 알파벳으로 시작하는 대표 벌레를 선정해서 그림과 함께 알파벳을 알려줍니다. 대부분의 벌레는 탭을 잡아당기거나 플랩을 열면 팝업되어 나타나는데 F에 나오는 꽃 벌레는 냄새를 직접 맡을 수 있고 P에 나오는 핑크색 파우더 퍼프 벌레는 헝겊으로 되어 있어 만져볼 수도 있습니다.

In Carter's latest, familiar objects (umbrella, doughnut, hammer, etc.) are given (appropriately named) bug eyes and, often, antennae; they are wittily transformed into members of an odd but comical alphabet species. The subtitle doesn't quite do the book justice, since there as many pull-tabs and liftable flaps as true pop-ups (and a turning wheel, a tactile powder puff and even a scratchable ``fancy fragrant Flower Bug'')-but that minor cavil certainly won't prevent kids from having a grand time as they discover three particularly peppy specimens lurking in a ``jar of jumping Jellybean Bugs'' or lift a vibrant green vine to uncover ``two terribly timid Tomato Bugs.'' Amusing alliteration and a zany sense of humor deliver fun with every letter.
