여기 굉장히 순한 사자 레오나드가 있습니다. 레오나드는 산책과 햇빛과 파란 풀밭을 좋아하고, 시를 만드는 것을 좋아합니다.
이런 순한 사자 레오나드가 오리 마리안을 만났습니다. 마리안은 레오나드가 시를 쓰는 것을 도와줬습니다. 그리고 둘은 절친이 되었지요. 둘은 함께 놀고, 함께 기대며, 밤이 되면 떨어지는 별똥별을 보고 함께 소원을 빌었습니다.

사자의 길은 오직 하나, 사납게 다른 동물들을 잡아먹어야 한다고 생각하는 다른 사자들은 이런 레오나드가 못마땅합니다. 그리고 레오나드에게 사자의 길을 가라고 강요합니다. 레오나드는 고민에 빠졌습니다. 자신의 생각이 잘못된 걸까? 친구인 마리안을 잡아먹어야 하는 건가? 레오나드와 마리안은 함께 고민하고 깊은 대화를 나눴습니다. 그리고 마침내 결론에 도달했습니다. 그리고 다른 사자들을 만나서 자신의 생각을 얘기해 줬습니다.
