잠잘 시간이 되자 엄마곰이 아기곰 Alfie를 부릅니다만, Alfie는 잠자리에 가기가 싫은가 봅니다. 숲속에 숨어서 엄마와 숨바꼭질 놀이를 하는군요. 요리조리 잘 숨는 Alfie를 찾지 못한 엄마는 점점 걱정이 됩니다. 이 때 나무 위에서 아기곰 Alfie가 Boo!하며 나오는군요. 이를 닦고 잠자리에 누운 Alfie는 엄마에게 "Good night, Mom." 인사를 하고 뽀뽀를 해줍니다.
각 페이지에 있는 Tab을 당기면 그림이 움직이는 재미있는 책입니다. 특히 마지막 페이지의 Tab을 당기면 아기곰이 엄마곰에게 뽀뽀를 해주는 모습이 귀엽고 깜찍합니다.

Alfie, a small bear, is reassured by his mother during a walk in which they pass by a hungry crocodile, a dangerous jackal, and a tiger. Even the most timid child will find the illustrations to be colorful and endearing. In the second book, done in the style of Eric Hill's classic Where's Spot (Putnam, 1980), Alfie hides from his mother when it's time for bed. He is finally discovered and gives her a kiss before going to sleep. It's another charmer. Both of these pull-the-tab novelty books would be welcome additions to preschool collections.
