보드북(Board Book)은 표지와 속지가 모두 두꺼운 카드보드지로 만들어진 책입니다. 잘 찢어지거나 구겨지지 않기 때문에 나이가 어린 아이들을 위한 책으로 주로 만들어지며, 책 내용도 원본에 비해 축약되는 경우가 많습니다. 주로 두장을 겹쳐 단단하고 오랫동안 눌려있을 경우 페이지와 페이지가 붙을 수 있습니다.

What Color Is That, PiggyWiggy? and Count to Ten, PiggyWiggy!, by Christyan and Diane Fox present concepts within a story. "PiggyWiggy wants to make Teddy laugh. Can you guess who he is going to be?" As PiggyWiggy dons orange suspenders and a crazy purple bow tie, against color-coded backgrounds, he transforms into a colorful clown. In the second title, children count to 10 while watching PiggyWiggy make a surprise birthday cake for Teddy. "He takes ONE big mixing bowl" and finishes by placing "TEN bright candles. HOORAY!" Humorous illustrations with thick black lines and solid blocks of color add a lot of fun to both books.
