세이디의 간절한 소원은 아빠와 함께 동물원에 가는 것입니다. 하지만 동물원에 가려고 할 때마다 예기치 못한 일들이 터지는 바람에 계속 미뤄졌습니다.
엄마가 장남감 소방차에 걸려 넘어지는 바람에 다리를 다쳐서 병원에 가는 바람에 동물원 가는 것이 취소되고,
집에서 기르는 개가 사라지는 바람에 동물원에 가는 대신에 하루종일 개만 찾으러 다녀야 했고,
막 동물원으로 출발하려는데 할머니와 할아버지가 깜짝 방문을 하는 바람에 역시 동물원가는 것이 연기되었지요.
하지만 오늘은 아무런 일도 없이 무사히 동물원으로 출발할 수 있었습니다. 그런데 동물원으로 차를 몰고 가는 도중에 비가 내리기 시작하네요. 이런이런~~~
그러나 너무나도 간절하게 동뭘원에 가고 싶었던 세이디의 눈에는 전혀 비가 내리는 것으로 보이지 않습니다. 아빠쪽에는 비가 내릴지 몰라도 세이디 쪽에는 비가 내리지 않을 뿐 아니라 오히려 햇빛만 쨍쨍 빛난다고 우기네요. 세이디쪽 유리창을 타고 흘러내리는 물방울는 빗물이 아니라 사람들이 정원에 물을 주다가 차에 뿌려진 것이라고 우기기까지 합니다. 세이디는 무사히 동물원 구경을 할 수 있을까요?
