This appealing concept book should find a welcome home in classrooms studying prepositions. The text is limited almost exclusively to the prepositions themselves, as the lush, textured acrylic illustrations follow the hot-air balloon journey of two young elephants. Invited to Africa to visit their aunt, Rama, Raja, and a prodigious load of luggage pile "in" the balloon's basket, soar "above" and "beside" domes and minarets, "through" the clouds, "behind" a waterfall, "across" the ocean, until they reach their destination and run "into" the arms of Auntie Rwanda. Readers will easily supply the object to each printed preposition, and even pre-readers will often be able to identify the preposition from the broad visual clues. Although the journey is fanciful, Baker has distinguished Asian and African settings through architectural and environmental details and has differentiated Asian and African elephants by ear shape. A tendency for important figures to fall into the seam is occasionally distracting, but not a major problem in a book whose large size makes this useful for classroom - Elizabeth Bush

When two little Indian elephants get an invitation from their African auntie, they set out to pay her a visit. Getting ``in'' a balloon, they fly ``above'' the onion-shaped domes of their homeland, ``through'' clouds, ``between'' towering cliffs, ``behind'' a waterfall, and even ``beyond'' a rainbow before climbing ``out'' at Aunti Rwanda's thatched hut. Except for the beginning and end, the text consists of just one preposition on each handsome spread; the story and travelogue are all in the expansive art. Kids enjoying the adventure may never notice that they're getting a vocabulary lesson, but they'll be intrigued by the elephants' antics and the many other details in the handsomely stylized illustrations. 책속에 딸랑 전치사만 , 그것도 한페이지에 한개씩 있는 것이다.
딸리는 영어 실력으로 어떻게 아이에게 읽어 줘야하고 어떻게 설명을 해 줄까.

한동안 책장 안에 꽂여 있기만 했었는데
9 짜리 딸아이가 책꽂이에서 꺼내들고 5짜리 동생에게 설명을 하는데 엄마인 내가 좀 멋적었다.
책장 한페이지 한페이지가 그야말로 넘치는 이야기 인것이다.
이 책은 전치사를 가르치는 책이다.
in,above, beside,through, between, behind, across, below, around, under, beyond, over, out, into 를 큰 사이즈의 책 가득 그림으로 표현했다.
평소에 above 와 over 부분이 아이에게 인지시키기 어려웠던 부분이었는데,
책을 펼쳐들고 보여주며 설명을 하니 더이상 고민할 거리가 없었다.
우리가 흔히 쓰지 않기에 어려운 전치사 부분을 한페이지 가득 채워진 그림으로 재미있게 그러면서도 인지도를 높인 책이다.
이 책은 보는이의 영어 수준에 관계없이 꾸준히 보여질 책이다.
