This is a pop-up, mix-and-match book that mixes the faces of various farm animals with the bottoms of different animals. It also mixes up the quotations of the animals. Thus an enormously fat and brightly pink pig that says, "I grunt, snort, wiggle my curly tail and dig in the mud for roots," when mixed with the bottom of a calf becomes a pilf who says, "I grunt, snort, wiggle my curly tail and eat grass all day." The overlapping noses and beaks are amusing and the mixed up quotations are fun, too. In the interest of introducing young children to animals, the book should be read through several times, making sure the tops and bottoms are matched correctly before mixing.
