These spectacularly photographed baby faces are big, bright, and bound to be adored. Baby Faces captures all the smiles, pouts, and goofy looks that make little faces so completely captivating.
Children's Literature
Expressive little faces of multi-ethnic children peer out at readers with just on word or phrase on the adjoining page. The girl with her face and lips all puckered up really looks like she has encountered something "yucky!" Kids who enjoy looking at pictures of other kids may get a chuckle out of this board book.
School Library Journal
PreS--Eye-captivating and expressive board books for infants. One or two words are paired with full-color close-up photos of a multiethnic cast of babies. In Baby Faces, emotions are directly linked to facial expressions with such simple terms as "yucky," "yum-yum," and "uh-oh." What's on My Head? presents a variety of colorful items--such as a red fire hat, a stuffed toy puppy, and a green velvet froggy--plopped squarely on top of each child's head. These first books are sure to entice future readers with interesting sights and sounds.--Selene S. Vasquez, Orange Brook Elementary School, Hollywood, FL
11 month old loves it!
My daughter recieved this book when she was only 4 months old and it has always been a favorite of hers. Just recently she learned how to say 'uh oh'. She picks this book off her book shelf, looks at me, and says 'this'. As I read it she turns the pages herself and when we get to the 'uh oh' page she say's 'uh oh' all by herself! Introducing her to books at a young age definately has it's benefits!
10 month old loves this book
My 10 month old daughter loves this book. it makes her laugh every time I read it to her. The pictures of the babies are so big that she can really see them well. The babies in the book make funny faces that she tries to mimic. There aren't many words but the pictures are what makes the book great. |
