헨리는 상상을 하는 것을 좋아합니다. 학교에서 Show-and-Tell 시간에 헨리는 자신이 상상하고 있는 것을 아이들에게 발표했습니다. 낚시로 커다란 물고기를 잡았는데 그 물고기가 자신의 배를 끌고 갔으며, 집채만한 눈사람을 만들었고, 이웃집에서는 공룡을 애완동물고 키우는가 하면, 자기집 뒷마당에는 외계인이 비행접시를 타고 왔다고 발표했습니다. 눈을 동그랗게 뜨고 듣고 있던 아이들은 헨리의 말을 믿지 않았으며, 헨리를 거짓말쟁이 취급을 했습니다. 헨리는 거짓말을 하려고 한 것이 아니라 자신이 상상한 것을 말한 것인데 친구들이 자신을 거짓말쟁이 취급을 하는 것이 너무나도 슬펐습니다.
헨리의 발표가 상상한 것이라는 것을 알고 있는 선생님은 헨리에게 자신이 상상한 것을 글로 써서 책을 만들어 보는 것이 어떻겠냐고 제안합니다. 영어 단어를 많이 알지 못하는 헨리는 글과 그림을 섞어 가면서 "우주여행"이라는 제목으로 책을 완성합니다. 다음번 Show-and-Tell 시간에 헨리는 자신이 만든 책을 읽어주자 아이들은 모두 헨리의 발표에 환호하며 좋아하네요...
