공작 꼬리부분의 플랩을 열면 부채와 같이 활짝 펼쳐진 반짝반짝 빛나는 꼬리를 볼 수 있으며, 탭을 당기면 통통한 여우꼬리가 좌우로 움직입니다. 호랑이와 멧돼지의 꼬리는 복슬복슬한 털을 직접 만져 볼 수 있으며, 개미핥기와 악어의 매끈매끈하면서도 오돌돌한 꼬리도 촉감을 느껴볼 수 있습니다. 원숭이 그림의 탭을 당기면 재미있는 그림이 속에서 나오며, 돼지 그림의 탭을 당기면 파리를 쫓기 위해 좌우로 움직이는 돼지 꼬리가 재미있습니다. 스컹크 꼬리 밑에 있는 동그란 부분을 문지르면 스컹크 냄새도 맡을 수 있지요. 마지막 페이지의 넓게 펼쳐지는 그림 속에는 1부터 10까지 다양한 동물들의 꼬리들을 한 자리에서 볼 수 있습니다.

Spotted through a die-cut window forming the letters of this book's title, the furry tails of a tiger and bush baby and the bumpy tails of an alligator and a pangolin number among the seven textures little fingers can touch in this lively look at animal appendages. Sturdy pages feature friendly, frisky creatures interacting-and flaps and tabs encourage youngsters to do the same. A pull of a tab makes two young foxes' tails wag; a lift of a flap reveals the shimmering, Mylar-enhanced fanned-out feathers of one deservedly proud peacock, owner of the volume's most dazzling tail. Other child-pleasing pages include a pull-tab showing two tiny alligators hatching from eggs, displaying their "tails new"; and a pair of pages that open to reveal a whale of a tail, in fact "The biggest tail of all!" In a most creative book, readers are introduced to a variety of tails. Fuzzy striped tiger tails, rough scratchy tails, leathery, scaly and even feathered tails. The die cut opening on the cover exposes a few of the tails featured on the inside. The opening spread includes a large flap which, when opened, shows off a peacocks tail in its entire splendor. Some tails we learn stand up, others drag on the ground and for those that wag there is a pull-tab to make them move from left to right. Some tails swish to chase away flies others can be smelly like that of a skunk (there is a scratch and sniff spot). The final spread shows the animals with their names and a number. Throughout the book there is a variety of animal tails and opportunities for interaction through tabs, and flaps. 플랩이나 팝업책은 튼튼하지 않으면 찢기기일쑤인데 이 책은 두터워 그런 걱정이 없답니다.
동물들도 친숙한 동물보다 자주 접하지 않는 동물들이라서 신선하고요,스컹크의 냄새...ㅋㅋㅋ신기합니다.

 여러 동물의 꼬리를 느껴봐요. |
dk출판사에서 나온 touch& feel 시리즈를 아기가 아주 어렸을때 전권으로 척 하니 들여놓고
쓰다보니 다른 책들은 사실 좋은 것을 알면서 선뜻 사기가 망설여졌는데,
이 책은 친구집에서 보고 욕심나던 책입니다...

쓰다보니 다른 책들은 사실 좋은 것을 알면서 선뜻 사기가 망설여졌는데,
이 책은 친구집에서 보고 욕심나던 책입니다.
동물의 꼬리를 소재로 한 책이 드물뿐더러 아주 쓰임새가 많겠더라구요.
촉감도 느껴보고 거기에 따른 형용사도 배우고....
뭉뚝하다던가 그런말은 아주 어린아이에게는 좀 어렵잖아요?
5,6세 아이들에게도 활용이 될것 같아요.
저도 이참에 고민합니다.5세 아들에게 보여주려고 살까 말까....

저희 아기는 26개월정도에 사주었는데, 그 동안 워낙 팝업북이랑 플랩북에 길들여져 있어서 그런지 처음엔 그리 반응이 없더군요. 근데, 책 자체는 튼튼하고, 독특해요.
우리 주변에서 쉽게 볼 동물들도 있지만, 우..
저희 아기는 26개월정도에 사주었는데, 그 동안 워낙 팝업북이랑 플랩북에 길들여져 있어서 그런지 처음엔 그리 반응이 없더군요. 근데, 책 자체는 튼튼하고, 독특해요.
우리 주변에서 쉽게 볼 동물들도 있지만, 우리 나라에서는 익숙하지 않은 동물들도 있거든요. 그런 동물들도 알아 두면 좋겠죠.
요즘엔 공작 날개에 붙여진 반짝이를 보면서 아주 크다, 크다, 아주 작다라고 자기가 말하더군요..
두돌전 아기들에게 추천하고 싶네요. 그 이후도 물론 활용 가능성은 큰 책이라고 봅니다.
