In this companion book to the equally charming I Went Walking, Williams and Vivas have created another winner for the toddler set. A young boy and his dog visit a series of farm animals, from one brown foal to six yellow puppies. The text is brief and bold, and each page offers plenty of white space, against which Vivas' bright, lively watercolors stand out perfectly. The spirited actions of the boy, whether he is squishing in the mud with four pink piglets or lying in a heap with all of the accumulated animals, move the story along.
