말썽꾸러기 맥스와 동생을 잘 돌봐주는 착한 누나 루비의 이야기입니다.
루비의 친구 루이즈가 새로 산 티 파티 세트를 들고 놀러 왔습니다. 루비와 루이즈는 둘이서 티파티 시간을 갖고 싶어합니다만, 맥스도 같이 티파티에 참가하고 싶어 합니다. 루비는 맥스에게 앞치마를 입혀주고는 웨이터 역할을 맡깁니다. 티를 마실 때 어울리는 케익을 가져 오라고 시키자 맥스는 컵 케익 위에 거미 모양의 검을 올려 놓았습니다. 루비와 루이즈는 거미로 착각을 하고는 혼비백산 도망을 갑니다. 이제는 맥스 혼자서 조용히 티와 케익을 즐길 수 있게 되었습니다.
