아기 돼지 포피는 어려서부터 큰 꿈을 지니고 있었어요. 스타가 되고 싶었지요. 처음에는 유명한 발레리나를 꿈꿨어요. 하지만 포피는 몸치라서 아무리 노력해도 실력이 늘지 않았어요. 그래도 가족과 친구들은 포피에게 너는 할 수 있다고 격려를 해줬어요. 결국 발레 선생님으로부터 발레에 소질이 없는 것 같다는 말을 들은 포피는 이번에는 가수가 되기로 했지요. 하지만 음치였던 포피가 노래를 부르면 모두 귀를 막을 지경이었어요. 그래도 가족과 친구들은 포피를 격려해 줬지요.

주위의 격려에 힘을 얻은 포피는 친구와 공원에 갔다가 아이스 링크에서 피겨스케이팅을 하는 아름다운 모습을 보고는 심장이 두근거리는 기쁨을 느꼈어요. 그래서 코치에게 피겨스케이팅을 배우고 싶다고 얘기했지만, 코치는 돼지가 피겨스케이팅을 하는 것은 불가능하다고 얘기했어요. 포기하지 않은 포피는 처음에는 얼음판 위에서 넘어지고 구르고 제대로 서지도 못했지만, 계속 노력을 하자 마법과 같이 실력이 늘기 시작했어요.
