The book is shaped like a picnic basket and even has a die cut handle so it can be carried around. It is a beautiful day and Bear and friends decide to have an outing. They fill a picnic basket with their favorite treats (bananas for Treelo, clams for Pip and Pop) and Bear plans to include some leftover corn fritters with honey and a big wedge of triple-berry pie. Unfortunately, they are not in the refrigerator and Tutter confesses that he ate them. To make up for his deed he offers to make Bear a double-decker sandwich. Off they go with a full picnic basket, and it is a delicious time for everyone, including the ants. Part of the collection of stories about Bear in the Big Blue House based on the television series of the same name. |
