The book kicks off with "Pilchard Goes Fishing" -- in which Bob's "clever" cat starts pawing around for Finn -- and heads into "Lofty to the Rescue," featuring the blue crane who winds up rescuing Spud when he gets caught on a branch. "Bob's Bugle" has the builder constantly tooting his new horn, which gets accidentally crushed and becomes a perfect gift for Wendy's housewarming present, and Travis gets a bit road-marking crazy after Spud plays a nasty trick in "Travis Paints the Town." The book's other stories are just as playful and busy, and each is marked with a different icon at the bottom to help young readers find their place in a snap.
