In a logical sensory follow-up to Martin's and Carle's wildly successful Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (Holt, 1983), this dynamic duo now offers sounds. The polar bear hears a lion roaring, who hears a hippopotamus snorting, who hears a flamingo fluting (!), who hears a zebra braying, and so on through a varied list of animals. At last the zookeeper announces that he hears children roaring, snorting, fluting, etc. While the format is very similar to the previous book, Carle's trademark collages have never been more beautiful. Huge animals fill the double-page spreads, glowing with light-filled colors, sans superflouous background. Teachers will smile with delight when they see this wonderful book, and students are sure to utter the familiar request, "Have you got another one like this one?" |

 brown bear보다는 낯설지만.. |
오래전에 브라운 베어를 사줬었는데 아이가 무척이나 좋아했었어요..그런데 듣기로 polar bear~~는 한단계 위라고 해서 망설였지요..그러다 최근에 보게 되었는데 역시나 좋아하네요..여기에선 브라운베어~에서와 달..
오래전에 브라운 베어를 사줬었는데 아이가 무척이나 좋아했었어요..그런데 듣기로 polar bear~~는 한단계 위라고 해서 망설였지요..그러다 최근에 보게 되었는데 역시나 좋아하네요..여기에선 브라운베어~에서와 달리 야생동물이 나옵니다. 북극곰,사자,하마,홍학,얼룩말,보아뱀,코끼리,표범,공작,바다코끼리와 동물원관리인이 등장하죠..
구조는 브라운베어와 동일합니다. 동물이름을 두번 반복해서 들려주고 What do you hear하고 계속 반복해서 나와요..브라운베어 보다는 좀더 노래가 리듬감 있는것 같군요..
동물이름이 좀 더 어려워지긴 했지만 동물 색깔 역시 화려하게 그려져 있고 문장과 노래가 반복되어지니까 그다지 어렵지만은 않은것 같아요..동물이름, 동물의 의성어, 색깔인지를 배울수 있습니다..

브라운베어와 똑같은 형식으로 되어있는데
브라운베어는 What do you see ? 라고 보고있는걸 물어보고 있고
이책 폴라베어는 What do you hear ? 라고 듣고 있는걸 물어보고 있어요.
브라운베어보다는 이 책을 ..

브라운베어보다는 이 책을 덜 좋아하는 아이들이 많은데
동물들의 울음소리가 쉽지는 않아서 그런것도 같아요.
이 책도 테이프안에 브라운베어처럼 따라부를 수 있는
노래도 있구요.
가능하면 테이프랑 같이 구입하시는게 좋을꺼 같아요.
브라운베어 사신분들은 이책 살까말까 고민하시는데
브라운베어에 나오지 않은 동물들이 나와서
의성어 어려우면 동물이름도 공부할수 있습니다.

영어...첨에는 간단한게 좋다기에 ...
근데 브라운 베어랑 아주 많이 같아요..
브라운 베어는 뭐가 보이니.? 이책은 뭐가 들리니...?의 차이랍니다..
동물들의 울음 소리..나라마다 틀리니까 알아두면 좋겟지만....

엄마가 아주 실감나게 읽어줘야 해요..
저희집 아이들은 이젠 혼자 울음소리 흉내냅니다...
아주 실감나게....집에서야 괜찮은데 밖에나가서 많이흉내내죠...
특히 맘맞는 친구들 만나면....ㅠ.ㅠ.;;
구입하면 본전생각은 안나는 책인듯합니다..
