Benny is going away to camp and is determined that he will be the best camper Camp Treetop has ever seen. After packing what appears to be everything he owns into his trunk, Benny bravely gets on the bus and heads out for camp. Once there his troubles begin—Benny falls off the upper bunk, capsizes a sailboat, and glues himself to his woodworking project. Not only that, every time the kids undertake an activity Benny proclaims that he is the best at it and in truth, he isn't good at any of the games or other activities. His bunkmates are fed up and hatch a plot to take the wind out of this braggart. While Benny is asleep they hoist his blanket up the flagpole. Benny stopped bragging and he stopped talking to the other kids even when they headed out for the overnight camp trip. Matt, the counselor admits to being lost and it is Benny who eventually saves the day.
