"Maisy's Picnic," "Maisy's Treasure Hunt," and "Maisy's Grand Prix" are easy enough to understand and play for any post-toddler to get into the gaming spirit. The rules are simple, and make the idea of learning the concept of rules comfortable. The occasional word instructions ("Uh-oh! Turn the wheel") will soon be memorized. A fourth game, "Maisy's Tic-Tac-Toe," decorates the obverse of the spinner page. Adding to the fun is an 'option' volvelle for the racing game. The spinner is well constructed, non-sticking, and nearly unbreakable, which is another plus. Cousins's bright, cheerful illustrations and design effectively pull the package together, making this a good buy. |
