국내에서는 "책이 정말 좋아!"라는 제목으로 번역서가 출간된 베스트셀러 그림책 Wild About Book의 공저자인 Judy Sierra(글)과 Marc Brown(그림)이 다시 콤비를 이뤄 만든 책입니다.
동물원에서 살고 있는 모든 동물들은 자신의 아기들을 갖고 있습니다만, 나무캥거루와 팬더곰만은 아기가 없습니다. 나무캥거루와 팬더곰은 너무나도 아기가 갖고 싶었지요. 그러던 어느날 동물원에 트럭이 한 대 들어와서는 어미를 잃은 알 1개를 입양해서 키울 동물이 있는지 물었습니다. 나무캥거루는 기꺼이 이 알을 맡아서 자신의 배주머니에 넣고 부화를 시켰습니다. 그 알에서는 새끼 팽귄이 태어났습니다. 그리고 팬더곰은 길을 잃은 아기고양이를 자신의 자식으로 입양했지요.
