생쥐는 너무 화가 나서 폴짝폴짝 뛰었어요. 그 모습을 본 토끼는 제대로 점프하는 모습을 보여주겠다며, 높이 높이 점프를 했어요. 생쥐는 토끼가 점프하는 것을 따라 하려다가 뒤로 넘어지는 바람에 진흙탕에 빠져 버리고 말았어요.

이제 더욱 화가 난 생쥐는 콩콩 발을 굴렀어요. 이 모습을 본 곰은 발을 제대로 구르는 것이 무엇인지 보여주겠다며, 땅이 울리고 나무가 흔들릴 정도로 쿵쿵 발을 굴렀어요. 생쥐는 곰이 발을 구르는 것을 따라 하려다가 이번에도 뒤로 넘어지는 바람에 또 진흙탕에 빠져 버리고 말았어요.

더더욱 화가 난 생쥐는 찍찍 소리를 질렀어요. 그 모습을 본 살쾡이는 그렇게 소리 질러봤자 들리지도 않는다면서 자신이 시범을 보여 줬어요. 살쾡이가 내지르는 소리는 너무 커서 심지어 메아리가 되어 돌와오네요. 생쥐는 살쾡이가 소리지르는 것을 따라 하려다가 뒤로 넘어지는 바람에 또 진흙탕에 빠져 버리고 말았어요.

더더더욱 화가 난 생쥐는 데굴데굴 굴렀지만, 고슴도치가 나타나서는 가장 잘 굴러가기 위해서는 발을 몸 안에 집어넣고 몸을 완벽하게 공 모양으로 만들어야 한다면 시범을 보여 주네요. 이번에도 생쥐는 고슴도치가 하는데로 그나마 비슷하게 따라 하지만 언덕 아래로 데굴데굴 굴러가다 또 진흙탕에 빠져 버리고 마네요.

화가 머리 끝까지 난 생쥐는 이번에는 몸을 움직이지 않고 그 자리에 꼼짝하지 않고 서 있었어요. 그리고 깊은 심호흡을 했지요. 이 모습을 본 다른 동물들은 저런 방법으로 화를 내는 것은 처음 봤기 때문에 매우 신기해 하면서 그대로 따라 해보기로 했어요. 그런데 움직이지 않으면서 깊게 심호흡하는 방법이 생쥐에게는 놀라운 결과를 가져왔어요. 생쥐의 마음 속에 가득했던 분노가 눈 녹듯이 사르르 사라졌으며, 언짢던 기분도 훨씬 좋아졌요...
