Rhyme으로 된 간단한 문장을 소리내어 읽으면 저절로 흥이 나는 재미있는 책입니다.

What is 페이퍼백? 표지가 두꺼운 판지나 보드지가 아닌 비교적 얇은 종이를 사용해서 만든 책이며, 실박음질 대신에 풀로 제본처리하는 경우가 많습니다. 일반적으로 하드커버나 보드북에 비해서 가격이 저렴합니다. 소프트커버로 불리우기도 합니다. 책의 이음새 부분이 접히거나 휘는 내구성이 그리 좋지는 않은 책입니다.

The singsongy rhyme may get to adults who are reading it aloud, but little ones will probably like the tale of the little bug who goes for a walk. "He met a cat and stopped to talk. / They fell in step and strolled a while, / and bumped into a crocodile." So it goes, with the bug meeting a pig who danced the jig, a toad heading down the road, and a host of others. The comical characters are silly and nicely executed in watercolors outlined in pen. This could also work as a first book for beginning readers.

Felicia Bond is the renowned illustrator of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, If You Give a Moose a Muffin, and If You Give Pig a Pancake, all written by Laura Numeroff, and Big Red Barn, by Margaret Wise Brown. She is also the author and illustrator of Tumble Bumble and the Poinsettia books. She lives in Austin, TX, and in a small village near Santa Fe, NM.
