보드북(Board Book)은 표지와 속지가 모두 두꺼운 카드보드지로 만들어진 책입니다. 잘 찢어지거나 구겨지지 않기 때문에 나이가 어린 아이들을 위한 책으로 주로 만들어지며, 책 내용도 원본에 비해 축약되는 경우가 많습니다. 주로 두장을 겹쳐 단단하고 오랫동안 눌려있을 경우 페이지와 페이지가 붙을 수 있습니다.

Sixteen selections included in My Very First Mother Goose are presented in board-book format. The lively watercolor-and-ink illustrations are identical to the original and often larger, although some pictures have been omitted in a few instances to avoid overcrowding the smaller space. Each rhyme appears in a double-page spread on a colored background that picks up a tone in the illustration. The print is smaller than in the original, but the text is laid out in much the same way or in logical phrases. Libraries that own the earlier book may still wish to purchase these sturdier, smaller books for their youngest patrons.
