내 고양이 이름은 플러비예요.

킴은 앵무새를 키워요. 킴의 앵무새는 노래를 부를 줄 알아요. 하지만 플러비는 노래를 부르라고 시키면 야옹~거리기만 하네요.

샘이 키우는 강아지는 공을 던지면 물고오지만, 플러비는 공을 던지면 드러누워 잠을 자고,

질이 키우는 개구리는 점프를 할 수 있지만, 플러비에게 점프를 시키면 하품만 하네요.

갑자기 비가 내려서 집을 뛰어가도, 플러비는 어슬렁거리며 걸어와서 온 몸이 흠뻑 젖었어요.

노래도 못하고, 공도 물고오지 않고, 점프도 못하고, 달리기도 못하는 플러비는 좋은 반려동물이 아닌 것이 분명해요.

하지만 그때 갑자기 천둥 번개가 치자, 플러비와 나는 놀라서 둘이 꼭 껴안았어요.

플러비는 비록 재주는 부리지 못하지만, 플러비는 내가 필요하고, 나는 플러비가 필요하다는 것을 깨달았어요.
