언뜻 보면 멋있는 우주선, 아담한 집, 깔끔한 부엌, 안락한 거실, 노란 스쿨버스, 바쁜 건설공사 현장 등 우리가 자주 접해본 장면들이 나오지만 두 눈을 크게 뜨고 자세히 들여다 보면 그림을 이루고 있는 것들은 일상생활에서 항상 보거나 사용하는 소품들로 이루어져 있다는 것을 발견하게 됩니다.
우주선의 머리부분은 배트민턴 공, 몸통의 후레쉬라이트, 꼬리는 건전지, 불꽃은 밀 이삭으로 만들어져 있습니다.
집의 벽면은 블라인드 커텐, 창문은 Tea bag, 현관 장식은 프레제, 현관 기둥은 포크, 차고 벽면 장식은 옷걸이, 정원의 나무줄기는 긴빵과 사슴뿔 등으로 만들어져 있습니다.
11개의 장면 각각마다 50개 이상의 사물들을 절묘하게 이용해서 만들었으며, 책 말미에는 각각의 장면에 사용된 사물들의 목록을 수록하고 있어서 I Spy 놀이와 같이 사진속에 숨겨진 사물들을 찾는 놀이를 하도록 되어 있습니다.(총 700여개가 숨겨져 있습니다)
