말썽꾸러기 꼬마토끼 푸푸가 숲 속에서 오토바이를 타고 다니면서 만나는 동물들을 괴롭히네요. 들쥐들을 뜰채에 퍼올려서 망치로 머리를 콩콩 때립니다. 푸푸의 못된 장난에 화가 난 요정 할머니가 나타나서 3번의 기회를 줄테니 남을 괴롭히는 행동을 그만 두라고 경고했어요. 그렇지 않으면 "구니"로 변신시켜 버리겠다고 말이죠. 하지만 꼬마 토끼 푸푸는 요정할머니의 경고를 무시하고 벌레, 호랑이, 고블린을 차례대로 뜰채에 담아서 머리를 콩콩 때렸습니다. 그때마다 요정할머니는 3번, 2번, 1번 남았다고 계속 경고를 했지요. 마침내 3번째 장난을 친 꼬마토끼 푸푸에게 요정 할머니가 벌을 내렸어요. 심술꾸러기 토끼는 초라한 모습의 "구니"로 변해버렸네요....
간결한 문장이 반복해서 나오는 유명한 영어 동요를 밝고 유머러스한 삽화를 넣어 재구성했습니다. 책 뒤에 악보가 있어 신나게 율동하며 노래를 부를 수 있습니다.

PreSchool-K-- Little Rabbit Foo Foo hops through the forest, picking up various creatures--field mice, wriggly worms, tigers, and goblins--and bopping them on the head with his red mallet. The Good Fairy warns him to stop, but finally turns him into a goon. This slightly retold version of a popular children's song has a lot of energy; unfortunately, Rosen includes neither music nor even a preface to let readers know that the tune is the same as "Down by the Railroad." The illustrations are bright, cheerful, and clearly detailed, if somewhat reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons.
