여러 종류의 동물들이 등장해서 사람처럼 행동하고 생활하는 모습이 그려진 책입니다. '개들의 마라톤대회'에서 개들이 운동화를 신고 달리고, 돼지들이 모자를 쓰고 연극하며, 양이 샤워를 하고 사슴이 볼링하는 모습을 재미있게 보여줍니다. 또한 암탉이 수영을 하고, 스컹크는 스쿠터를 타며, 개구리들이 데이트를 합니다. 이렇듯이 동물들이 사람처럼 운동하고 행동하는 것들이 현실세계에서는 불가능하지만 상상 속에서는 가능합니다. 양들이 구두를 팔고, 노새가 그림을 그리고, 오리가 자전거를 타고, 황소가 비행기를 몰며 하늘을 나는 일도 상상 속에서는 충분히 일어날 수 있지요. 마지막 남겨진 물음, "....tell me what you see?
