정원의 나무 아래에 바퀴가 빨간색인 이상하게 생긴 나무상자가 있었습니다. 호기심 많은 주위의 동물들이 모두 모였습니다. 소, 말, 토끼, 오리, 고양이, 개, 그리고 새들까지 이 나무상자 안을 들여다 보지만 담요에 덮여있어서 무엇이 있는지 알 수 없었습니다. 그 때 갑자기 담요를 제끼고 나타난 것은... 귀여운 아기입니다. 아기는 주위의 동물들이 너무 신기했어요. 그리고 동물들과 아기는 함께 놀고 싶어했지요. 그런데 그 때 아기의 엄마가 나타나서 동물들을 쫓아버리고 정원의 입구에 있는 문을 닫아버렸습니다. 아기와 동물들은 슬펐어요...
결국 다시 만난 아기와 동물들이 즐겁게 노는 모습이 사랑스럽습니다.

With only a small amount of text per page, it combines a number of elements with great appeal to little ones: animals, a human baby and its mother, just the right amount of repetition in the text, and even a bit of gentle suspense. Grab this classic while you can! It will be a favorite with children and adults alike.
Under the tree in the garden stood a strange looking box with red wheels. The gate to the garden was open, and all the curious animals of the barnyard walked through. "What's this?" they asked. But no one-not the cow, the rabbit, the fuzzy black kitten, or any of the other animals-seemed to know. Then suddenly whatever was inside the box moved. SC.
