Little Nutbrown Hare asks his dad which blue he likes best. Dad decides it is the blue in the sky. Then the roles are reversed as they discuss green and Little Nutbrown Hare decides that he likes the big green leaves. As they explore red and yellow, kids and their caregivers have an opportunity to talk about the items in each scene. Of course they finally get to brown and the exchange between the two as to which brown is the best is cause to celebrate together—because of course it is Nutbrown.
