[ 책 소개 ]

Raymond는 자기 방에서 만화책을 보다가 엄마가 심부름을 시키기 위해 부르는 소리를 들었습니다. 하지만 만화에 푹 빠져 있는 레이몬드는 엄마가 부르는 소리를 못들은 척하고 계속 만화책을 보는 바람에 엄마가 부르는 목소리는 점점 커지고... 마침내 화가 난 엄마가 레이몬드 방쪽으로 다가올 때, 레이몬드는 만화책에서 장면을 바꿀 때 사용하는 "Meanwhile...(한편...)"이라는 단어를 발견합니다. 혹시나 하는 마음에 벽에다 Meanwhile이라는 단어를 쓰자 레이몬드는 해적선을 타고 있는 자신을 발견합니다. 해적들과 전투를 하다가 생포되어서 상어 밥이 되기 직전, "Meanwhile"이라는 단어를 쓰자 장면이 바뀌어서 서부의 카우보이가 되어 말을 타고 가는군요. 하지만 표범에게 쫒겨서 위기에 처하고, 다시 Meanwhile이라는 단어를 쓰자, 이번에는 우주선이 파손된 우주 한복판에 있게 되고, 다시 Meanwhile을 쓰자... 앗 지난번 상어에게 던져지기 직전이었던 해적선 장면의 다음 상황이 전개되는군요.... 과연 레이몬드는 어떻게 이 위기상황을 끝낼 수 있을까요...
만화 형식으로 된 기발한 내용의 재미있는 그림책입니다.
