[ 책 소개 ]

[ 책 내용 ]
(1쪽) It was early morning on Sesame Street.
이른 아침의 세서미스트리트입니다.
(2쪽) The sky was still dark.
하늘은 아직 어두컴컴합니다.
(4쪽) Everyone was still asleep.
모두들 아직 잠을 자고 있어요.
(5쪽) Everyone, that is, except Big Bird.
빅버드를 제외한 모두가 말입니다.
Big Bird was wide awake.
빅버드는 잠이 다 깨어있어요.
He sat up in his nest and listened.
그는 둥지에서 일어나 앉아서 귀를 기울였어요.
(6쪽) He got up and looked around.
그는 일어서서 둘레를 돌아봤어요.
There was no one to play with.
같이 놀아줄 사람이 아무도 없군요.
"Where is everybody?" Big Bird asked.
모두들 어디갔지? 빅버드는 궁금했어요.
He began to walk.
그는 걷기 시작했어요.
"I'll walk until I find someone to play with," he said.
"같이 놀아줄 사람을 찾을 때까지 걸을거야"라고 그는 말했어요.
(8쪽) Big Bird walked up the street and around the corner.
빅버드는 거리를 따라 걷다가 모퉁이를 돌았어요.
When he came to a bakery he stopped.
제과점에 도착해서 발걸음을 멈췄지요.
Inside the bakery the bakers were taking loaves of bread out of the oven.
제과점 안에서는 빵만드는 아저씨들이 오븐에서 갓구운 빵들을 꺼내고 있었어요.
"Everyone there is too busy to play," said Big Bird.
모두 너무 바빠서 같이 놀아줄 수 없겠군.
So he went on walking.
그래서 그는 계속 걸어갔어요.
