[ 책 소개 ]
언제나 모험을 꿈꾸는 소녀 올리브, 하지만 그녀의 모험은 단지 책을 통해서 상상 속에서만 이뤄질 뿐입니다.
역시 언제나 모험을 굼꾸는 올배미 봉제인형 후트, 그는 책이 아닌 실제 상황에서 모험을 해보고 싶어합니다.
어느날 후트는 올리브를 데리고 집을 나와 미지의 세계로 실제 모험을 떠납니다. 커다란 바구니에 수많은 풍선들을 묶어서 만든 비행선을 타고 하늘 높이 날아 올랐습니다. 하늘에서 바라보는 땅 위의 모습은 경이로웠지만, 비행선이 예상보다 더 높이 올라가는 바람에 폭풍우가 몰아치는 구름 속으로 들어가게 되었습니다.
올리브는 겁이 났지만, 용감한 후트 덕분에 무사히 땅에 착륙할 수 있었습니다.
후트는 모험을 계속 해나가기를 원했습니다.
이번에는 바구니를 물 위에 띄워서 급류가 흐르는 강을 따라 내려갔습니다만, 커다란 바위와 부딪히는 바람에 바구니에 구멍이 나서 더 이상 강을 따라 내려갈 수가 없게 되었습니다. 무엇보다도 후트의 엉덩이 천이 떨어져 나가는 바람에 더 이상 모험을 계속 하는 것은 어렵게 되었지요.
지금까지는 용감한 후트가 모험에 앞장섰지만, 이제는 부상당한 후트를 데리고 안전하게 집으로 돌아가야 하는 올리브는 두사람 몫의 용기를 내어야 합니다. 올리브는 어두워지기 전까지 무사히 집으로 돌아갈 수 있을까요?
