[ 책 소개 ]
국내에서는 "페르디의 사계절 시리즈"로 번역서가 출간된 "Fletcher" 시리즈의 크리스마스편입니다.
붉은 여우 플레처는 토끼가족이 살던 곳에 갔을 때, 집 앞에 커다란 나무가 쓰러져서 문을 막고 있었습니다. 그 모습을 본 플레처 갑자기 걱정이 되기 시작했습니다. "만일 산타크로스가 토끼들이 새로 이사간 집을 찾지 못하면 어떡하지?" 그래서 플레처는 토끼가족이 새로 이사간 집까지 나무가지를 꺽어서 화살표를 만들어 땅 위에 올려놓기로 했습니다. 하지만 토끼가족이 이사간 곳은 너무 멀리 떨어져 있어서 해가 지기 전까지 화살표를 다 만들지 못할 수도 있었지요. 그 모습을 본 다람쥐, 파랑새, 생쥐들이 여우를 도와주네요.
해가 지기 전에 무사히 토끼가족의 새집에 도착한 여우와 친구들은 모두 신나는 파티를 즐겼습니다만, 집으로 돌아가기 위해서 문을 열었을 때, 바깥세상이 온통 새하얀 눈으로 덮여 있는 것을 알게 됩니다. 여우와 친구들이 힘을 합쳐 만든 화살표도 모두 눈에 묻혀버려서 찾을 수가 없었지요. 할 수 없이 여우와 친구들은 오늘밤에 잠을 자기 않고 산타크로스가 오기를 기다렸다가 산타가 자기들 집에 찾아오면 토끼가족이 새집으로 이사를 갔다는 것을 얼려주기로 합니다만...
