시몬이 체조에 입문하게 된 계기는 우연 때문이었습니다. 시몬이 다니던 유치원에서 농장에 견학 가기로 한 날에 비가 내리는 바람에 견학일정이 취소되자 농장 대신에 체조 학원에 견학을 갔고, 거기서 코치는 시몬의 천부적인 재능을 알아 봅니다.
