A few years ago there was a study that showed babies were attracted to high contrast black-and- white images. Ba Ba Ha Ha and Oooh Oooh Moo were the first I remember seeing. Each picture corresponded with a sound or short phrase. In this new board book, familiar animals are presented and each page has a statement such as "Look!" or a few words in a phrase to describe what is going on& birds sing, zebras run, and cats purr. This book is targeted more to an older child than the other series, which is no longer available, but the books are quite effective.
