그렇다고 이 책이 해피엔딩이 아닌 건 아닙니다. 조금은 다른 해피엔딩입니다. 엘라는 그냥 왕비가 되어 그 후로 오랫동안 행복하게 사는 게 아니라 궁전의 언어학자와 요리사 보조라는 직책을 맡아 남편이 여행하는 동안 집에 머물러 있지 않고 극성스레 따라나서며, 들르는 곳의 언어와 사투리를 열심히 배울 정도라고 하니 21세기의 신데렐라의 모습을 보는 듯합니다.
유머와 반전이 가득한 재미있는 소설입니다.
