2004년에 Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, 2005년에 Knuffle Bunny, 그리고 2008년에는 Knuffle Bunny too로 Caldecott 상을 계속 수상하면서 어린이 그림책 분야에서 21세기의 대표작가로 자리를 굳힌 모 윌렘스의 재미있는 그림책입니다. 가장 널리 알려진 전래 동화 중 하나인 "골디락스와 곰 세마리" 이야기를 기발한 아이디어로 재구성했습니다.
옛날 옛적에 아빠공룡, 엄마 공룡, 그리고 노르웨이에서 온 아기 공룡 3마리가 살고 있었습니다. 이 공룡 가족은 골디락스와 곰 세마리의 이야기를 알고 있었습니다. 그래서 골디락스가 자기 집에 왔을 때, 똑 같은 일이 벌어지게끔 초콜렛 푸딩 3그릇, 의자 3개, 그리고 침구가 깨끗하게 정리된 침대 3개를 준비한 후, 숲 속에 숨어서 골디락스가 집에 찾아 오기를 기다렸습니다.
골디락스는 공룡집인 줄 모르고 들어섰다가 모든 가구들이 어마어마하게 큰 것을 보고 의아하게 생각합니다. 심지어 푸딩을 먹기 위해서는 사다리를 놓고 식탁 위로 올라가야 했지요. 간신히 푸딩은 먹었습니다만,의자들과 침대들은 너무 높아서 올라갈 엄두를 내지 못했습니다. 그러다가 골디락스는 이 집이 곰돌이 가족의 집이 아니라 공룡들의 집인 것을 알아차리고는 뒷문으로 잽싸게 도망을 갔습니다.
골디락스를 잡을 수 있으리라 생각하고 현관문으로 뛰어 들어온 공룡 가족들은 골디락스가 이미 뒷문으로 동망가 버린 것을 알고는 크게 실망합니다...
모 읠렘스 특유의 유머와 기발한 발상의 전환을 느낄 수 있는 재미있는 그림책입니다.
