Coaxing a promise from Hector not to attack if their stunts are good enough, they suit up in goggles and helmets to play with race cars, inclined ramps, and protractors. They get to zoom up and down while he watches, bored to yawns. When he is ready to attack, they use their knowledge of protractors to trick Hector one more time, and escape back to their cage. This amusing story in the "MathStart" series conveys the information about how to measure angles and use a protractor and indicates some ideas about velocity as well for the perceptive reader. Back matter includes teaching and sharing ideas for adult and children reading the book together.
