랄프는 허름한 호텔 2층에 사는 모험심 강한 생쥐입니다. 어느 날 랄프가 사는 방에 키스라는 소년이 머물게 됩니다. 이 소년은 여러 장난감 차를 가지고 놀았는데, 그 가운데 랄프는 빨간 모형 오토바이에 온통 마음을 뺏기고 맙니다. 랄프가 타기에 딱 좋은 크기의 그 오토바이는 ‘부릉부릉’ 하고 외치면 신 나게 달릴 수 있었습니다.
키스와 친구가 된 랄프는 키스가 잠자는 밤에만 오토바이를 몰고 다니도록 허락 받습니다. 아침이면 오토바이를 돌려주고, 오토바이에 아무 사고가 나지 않도록 조심해야 했지요. 그러나 한낮에 키스가 외출한 사이 랄프는 약속을 어기고 오토바이를 몰다가 빨래 통 속에 빠지게 됩니다. 할 수 없이 오토바이만 남겨 두고 랄프는 혼자 탈출할 수 밖에 없었지요.
약속을 어겨서 미안한 마음에 풀이 잔뜩 죽은 랄프. 어느 날 밤 키스가 많이 아프자, 아스피린을 구해다 주려는 생쥐 랄프의 모험이 시작됩니다. 2층 방에서만 살던 랄프는 우여곡절 끝에 미지의 세계인 1층에 도착하고, 그곳에서 아스피린을 구해 키스에게 갖다 줍니다. 그 과정에서 랄프는 키스의 구급차를 이용했는데, 덕분에 키스는 열이 내리게 되고, 호텔을 떠날 때는 랄프에게 오토바이를 선물로 줍니다...
